Over the past week, we have welcomed 10 new chicks into the world. Delivered as fertilized eggs in their own incubator, the chicks all hatched perfectly and are now little yellow balls of fluff. The delivery linked to the children's science learning about animals and life cycles, and was a wonderful way to see first hand how chickens hatch and develop. They really have been a wonderful addition to classroom life, and we'll be sorry when it's time for them to go.
